It has become almost a sort of a trend or even tradition for that matter to have parties on days that hold a special importance in your life. The mood and tone of the party though would vary depending on the guest list and also your taste and preferences. Similarly the appropriateness of the wording too would depend a lot on the formality levels of the party. The wordings may range from the formal to the fun and have been listed below.

Formal: a formal party invite is generally given out in the case of Bridal Shower Invites. The reason being that there may be female guests of all age attending the party and therefore one has to be mindful of avoiding inappropriate phrasing.

Semi-formal: a semi-formal invitation may be had for the Baptism Invitations. The ceremony is a more formal get together which may be followed by a small and reception. It is more of an occasion for family members to get together.

Casual: a casual wording format may be used in the case of Rehearsal Dinner Invitations. It is more of a casual and relaxed event with the bride to be and her near and dear ones.

Fun: finally, the fun filled parties for which the wordings and the language too is in the same mould. An example of such is the Sweet 16 Invitations.

The wordings, language and the design of the invite all of them together play a major role in setting the right mood and atmosphere in your party.
